We are the champions!

On Friday 10th May Hyde School was lucky enough to win the Dorset Schools League Orienteering , and were presented with our winners shield at Moors Valley. We had a busy season orienteering, our small school (about 60 pupils) managed to turn out in force for many of the events. The variation of the courses made for different types of challenges, one of the biggest had to be the weather, making it wet and muddy. I even lost my shoe when it got stuck in mud at a very soggy Ringwood Forest!

The Longleat event was great fun and someone joked that the course would be going through the lion enclosure and we would have to run very fast!

Not only did we win the Dorset Schools League, we also took part in the Dorset School Score Event at Moors Valley (also 10th May) again we turned out in great numbers for our small school and managed to win this too!! We are all so grateful to Miss Mays who has supported and encouraged us all and without her we would not of been so successful.

We are looking forward to next season.
